Loya-12: The Six Levels of Faith; Savikalp and Nirvikalp Faith
Mahima
Samvat 1919 (1862 CE). Gunātitānand Swāmi stayed for two days in Kālasari. Mādhavcharandās Swāmi read Vachanāmrut Loyā 12 aloud. On hearing this, Swāmishri said, “There is no choice but to develop the understanding expressed in this Vachanāmrut.”

સં. ૧૯૧૯, કાળસરી ગામમાં ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામી બે દિવસ રોકાયા. માધવચરણદાસજીએ લોયા ૧૨મું વચનામૃત વાંચ્યું. તે સાંભળી સ્વામીશ્રીએ કહ્યું, “આ વચનામૃતમાં કહ્યું છે તેમ સમજે જ છૂટકો છે.”

Mahima
One person asked Swāmi, “Throughout the Vachanāmrut, in some places the strength of refuge in God is described, in some places that of dharma, in some places that of vairāgya, in some places that of ātmā-realization; and also in some places that of ātmā-realization has been disqualified. In this way, many spiritual means have been described. Of these, please name one in which all these are included and by which ultimate moksha is attained.” So Swāmi said, “If one has upāsanā and uttam nirvikalp nishchay (the highest level of conviction), then all spiritual means will be incorporated.”
એક જણે ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામીને પૂછ્યું જે, “વચનામૃતમાં ક્યાંક આશરાનું બળ કહ્યું છે, ક્યાંક ધર્મનું, ક્યાંક વૈરાગ્યનું, ક્યાંક આત્મનિષ્ઠાનું ને ક્યાંક પાછી તે આત્મનિષ્ઠા ઉડાડી નાંખી છે. એવાં કંઈક ઠેકાણે અનંત સાધન કહ્યાં છે; તેમાં એકને વિષે સર્વે આવી જાય ને ઉત્તમ મોક્ષ થાય એવું એક કહો.” એટલે સ્વામી કહે જે, “ઉપાસના હોય ને ઉત્તમ નિર્વિકલ્પ નિશ્ચય હોય તો બધાં આવે.”
Nirupan
Vāghā Khāchar asked, “When can one be said to be fulfilled?” Gunātitānand Swāmi replied, ‘When the knowledge of both ātmā and Paramātmā is attained, and the sixth [highest] level of conviction (in which no doubts remain in any action of God – good, bad or indifferent - as described in Vachanāmrut Loyā 12) is attained, then one can be said to be fulfilled. This state is attained if the speaker is flawless and one has trust in him. Otherwise, effects will bear fruit after a long time when God grants grace.”
વાઘાખાચરે પૂછ્યું જે, “સંપૂર્ણ થયા કેમ કહેવાય?” ત્યારે ગુણાતીતાનંદ સ્વામી બોલ્યા જે, “આત્મા ને પરમાત્મા બેનું જ્ઞાન થાય, ને છઠ્ઠો નિશ્ચય કહ્યો છે એવો થાય ત્યારે પૂરું થયું કહેવાય. ને એ વાત તો વક્તા જો નિર્દોષ હોય ને વિશ્વાસ હોય તો થાય તેવું છે, નીકર દાખડો કરતાં ભગવાનની દૃષ્ટિ થાય ત્યારે કાળાંતરે સમજાય.”
